Harshit Rana and Andre Russell Shine and Kolkata Knight Riders defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 4 runs in a closely contested match at Eden Gardens with to a brilliant last over from Harshit Rana. In the last over, Rana had other ideas. Henrich Klassen hit 63 runs off just 29 balls, and his combination with Shabaz Ahmed looked like it would be enough to send the visitor’s home. In the match, the right-arm quick also contributed three wickets.
Andre Russell also had an outstanding outing for KKR with the bat and the ball in addition to Rana. Despite getting off to a good start, the SRH batsmen were unable to build on their success and continued to lose wickets in the middle overs, which ultimately proved to be their undoing.

Sunil Narine: A Spectrum of Emotions on the Cricket Field
In an “Emotional Rollercoaster” section, it is difficult to include someone like Sunil Narine. It’s not a name that’s commonly connected to feelings and other things. All you had to do was watch him limp backwards, hardly making an effort to go back to the non-striker’s end after being sent out to lead the batting. Narine left it to the fielder’s ability, but maybe a dive wouldn’t have mattered anyhow. After a direct hit, he vanished. He retreated at his typical creeping speed.
But with the ball, he lets it out sometimes. After three tight overs earlier in the innings, Narine came on to finish his spell in the 13th over. Off his penultimate delivery of the night, he had Rahul Tripathi caught at deep square leg. And Narine let out a roar and pumped his fist. Perhaps it was the review that wasn’t taken a few overs back that would have given him Tripathi’s wicket. Perhaps he realised he didn’t show enough emotion then to get the umpire’s decision.
Andre Russell‘s Dominance: A Masterclass of Sixes and IPL Milestones
Throughout his scorching 25-ball 64, Andre Russell gave the rest of the league a strong warning flag. During his knock, he hit seven sixes, making history as the batsman who hit 200 IPL sixes in the fewest balls faced. The large guy arrived at the benchmark in just 1322 balls, far quicker than Chris Gayle’s 1811 balls. Stunningly, sixes have accounted for 51.59% of his career IPL runs.
When Russell goes large, he usually favors the leg side. Indeed, Russell hammered home a six in the midwicket area, using this innings as a sample spot. One shot, though, stood out more than the others: the single six he struck from Bhuvneshwar Kumar over cover. It makes sense to keep the ball away from a batter’s hitting arc when he has such clear strengths. As a result, the seasoned pacer kept it outside off Stump. However, Russell cut it over cover-point while on his knee. He held the posture for the six, allowing the globe to document the occasion.
With the help of Russell last over runs KKR cross 200 runs, which they hope is plenty. KKR has amassed a sizable lead in the last overs, and the tide is now very much in their favour. Although SRH did start the innings off well with the ball, when Russell grabbed control of the game, things only became worse.
