The IPL 2024 season is set to start on March 22 with defending CSK taking on RCB in the tournament opener at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

In IPL 2024 ten teams will be played for the title, several international players ruled out from IPL 2024, the 17th edition of the IPL due to injuries or other personal reasons.

Top 8 players ruled out from IPL 2024 and their replacements.

 1.Devon Conway: CSK

Devon Conway opener batsman of New Zealand and CSK was ruled out of the first half of the IPL 2024 season due to thumb injury during the recent series against Australia. Conway was highest run getter for CSK last year i.e. in 2023, he scored 672 runs in 16 matches that he played with the help of 6 half century. In final match of IPL 2023 against Gujarat Titans he scored 47 runs off 25 balls and awarded as Player of the Match.

2. Harry Brook: Delhi Capitals

Harry Brook star batter of England and Delhi Capitals has been out of action since December 2023 he also missed the recent tour to India. In IPL 2023 he played for Sunrisers Hydrabad and scored 190 in 11 matches that he played with help single century that he scored against KKR in 55 balls. In this session of IPL, he was baught by Delhi Capitals at 4 crores.

3.Lungi Ngidi: Delhi Capitals

Lungi Ngidi seamer of South Africa and Delhi Capitals was ruled out of IPL session 2024. Lungi Ngidi sustained a left lateral ankle sprain during the T20I series against India, and he hasn’t played since January. Ngidi was bought by Delhi Capitals in 2022 at Rs50 Lakh but has not played in any match across two seasons.  Replacement of Lungi Ngidi is an Australian young batter Jake Fraser-McGurk who has played two T20Is. He will join the Delhi Capitals at his base price of Rs50 lakh.

4.Jason Roy: Kolkata Knight

Jason Roy opener batter of England and Kolkata Knight Riders was recently pulled out of the IPL 2024 season due to personal reasons. In last session of IPL Roy scored 285 runs at strike rate of 151.60 in eight match that is played with the help of two half century.  Replacement of Jason Roy is Phil Salt, who scored two consecutive T20 century against West Indies last December. Last year Salt played for Delhi Capitals but surprisingly unsold in the IPL 2024 auction. He will join the Knight Riders at his base price of Rs1.5 crore.

5.Suryakumar Yadav: Mumbai Indian

Suryakumar Yadav an orthodox batter of India and Mumbai Indian may miss the initial matches of IPL. Suryakumar has been on the road to recovery since December 2023 after suffering a sports hernia.  In IPL session 2023 he 605 runs at strike rate of 181.13.60 in sixteen match that is played with help of one hundred and five fifty.

6.Mohammad Shami: Gujarat Titans

Mohammad Sami star-striker baller of India and Gujarat Titans has not played any game since India defeat in the ODI World cup final against Australia in Nov 2023. Shami, who played the tournament, suffer from heel injury. The 32-year-old Mohammad will also be ruled out of the T20 World Cup in June. In last session of IPL 2023 he won Purple Cap for taking highest number of wickets in a season. He took played 17 matches and picked up 28 wickets at an economy rate of 8.03.

 7.Prasidh Krishna: Rajasthan Royals

Other players ruled out from IPL 2024 Karnataka pacer Prasidh Krishna playing IPL for Rajasthan Royals was ruled out of the IPL with another injury. Having suffered from the knife for a left proximal quadriceps tendon surgery in February. In IPL 2022 season he took 17 wickets in 13 matches.

8.Mark Wood: Lucknow Super Giants

England and Lucknow Super Giants quick Mark Wood was ruled out of the IPL 2024 season after the ECB decided to pull him out for workload management. Mark Wood had played in four matches with Lucknow last IPL 2023 season, he picked 11 wickets in four matches that he played.  West Indies pacer Shamar Joseph joined Lucknow at price of Rs3 crore as replacement of Mark.
