Since 2016, Trump has not given any personal funds to his presidential campaigns. He had hinted in 2020 that he would personally pay the price to secure reelection, but he never followed through on it.
James has the right to confiscate any of the former president’s assets, including Mar-a-Lago and Trump Tower, in any state if he does not post the bail for the entire amount he owes by Monday. His attorneys, who have filed an appeal of the ruling, stated in a court document on Monday that he has not been able to obtain a bail to satisfy the order.
